  • General data:
    • Initially we planned to go to Lat Chado, but due to the early morning rain we decided to switch to a shorter track. We chose the Ayutthaya Northern Bicycle Track 2 also called "The War Loop". After waiting a break in the rain curtain we started off at Tony's Place at around 0900 Hr. We cycled north towards the kraal and continued to the bridge over Khlong Hua Ro. Here we decided to make a few kilometers extra and turned at Wat Si Liam towards the road running along the west bank of Khlong Sra Bua. After having made the loop we came back at the bridge and turned north along the east bank of Khlong Bang Khuat and followed again the track of the War Loop. We made a first stop at Wat Chang Yai. We continued towards the Chao Phraya River in Ban Mai and turned towards Ayutthaya again passing the Sri Suriyothai Memorial and Wat Phukhao Thong. From here we rode towards Hua Laem and then turned east in direction of Wat Na Phra Men. Here we crossed again Khlong Hua Ro over a small wooden bridge into the premises of Wat Mai. At Wat Kuti Thong and Wat Pho we took some pictures and finally, after passing two bike shops in search of a pump we ended our trip at M&M shortly before noon.
