  • General data:
    • We started off from the Lopburi Residence Hotel at 0730 Hr with as objective the Elephant Kraal of Ayutthaya. We followed the Lopburi River along the left bank all the way until Ayutthaya over the main 3-digit roads. We made a short stop at Wat Yang Na Rangsi in Talung sub-district of Mueang Lopburi district to have a look at the old large rubber tree along the river bank, one of the oldest of Thailand. The monastery features also a famous Thai boat museum with a rare collection of boats. We continued down to Chao Pluk, where we made a coffee and ice cream stop at the Khlong Bun 2 restaurant. It was just 0900 Hr and we were already half way. We jumped our bikes and at good speed, with a short water bottle filling stop in Bang Pahan we arrived at the Elephant Kraal around 1100 Hr.
