  • General data:
    • We started off at Tony's Place at 0900 Hr with as objective Wat Pa Mok and its large reclining Buddha in Pa Mok district of Ang Thong. We followed the Chao Phraya along the right bank until Pa Mok as close as possible to the river bank. At Wat Pa Mok we made a stop to have a view of Phra Sayat. The vihara was closed for renovation until end of April 2014, so we contented us to have a view at the adjacent Phra Bat. We continued north and crossed the Chao Phraya River to the other bank, where we returned in direction of Ayutthaya. Here also we followed as much as possible the left bank of the main river. We arrived back in Ayutthaya at around 1230 Hr. It was a leisurely trip in which we had the occasion to take some photographs of the excavation site at Wat Prasat Thong, a test of calcium carbide cannons nearby, a cock fighting area and of course Wat Pa Mok.
