  • General data:
    • We started off at the Elephant Kraal at 0800 Hr with as objective Ban Mai sub-district in Ayutthaya. We headed from the kraal in northwestern direction along Khlong Hua Ro and Khlong Bang Khuat, stretches of the old Pho Sam Ton River. Past Wat Pom Raman we crossed Khlong Bang Khuat in direction of Wat Tha Klong and Wat Tum. At Wat Tum we turned in eastern direction along the other side of the marshy lake. After 1.5 Km we turned north towards Wat Chang Yai, where we made a stop. We continued in western direction towards Wat Kuti Lai and turned south towards Wat Bamrung Tham in Ban Mai, after a short stop at Wat Sam Jin. From Ban Mai we followed the Chao Phraya River downstream and made a photo shoot in front of the large Buddha at Wat Pho Phuek. Near Vihan Dawadung we went under road #347 and turned into the direction of Wat Phukhao Thong. At this location we took a break and admired the panorama from the highest platform of the spire. We continued our bike trip in direction of Hua Laem, turned to the east along the right bank of Khlong Mueang passing a number of old temples until Wat Na Phra Men. Here instead of turning right towards the Grand Palace and into the city, we took left, up Khlong Sra Bua until Wat Krutharam. Here we turned again in direction of the kraal passing Wat Khae, where we stopped a while. From Wat Khae we biked again in direction of Khlong Mueang, passed Wat Sam Vihan and paused at Wat Kuti Sung, an un-restored fascinating ruin. From there we drove to our final destination point, where we started earlier in the morning.
