10 February 2013

  • General data
    • We started off at Chang House (Soi 2 Naresuan) at 1200 Hr for a trip to Bang Pa-In and return. We took a break on the way to Bang Pa-In to take refreshment. No further stops were made. We used 2 times a ferry; the one at Wat Khun Phrom to get to the Samphao Lom area and the other south of Bang Pa-In Palace near Ban Len. Arrival point was again Chang House. Road conditions were far from good in the going and very bad in returning. There are road works on Road #3477, but the road is still more or less all right to bike. On the way of return, Road #3469 was completely undone of its surface and it was just riding "Dust in the Wind" until the bridge over the Chao Phraya near Ban Run. The initially planned lunch at Bang Pa-In was replaced by a dust bowl blues instead.
    • The weather was cloudy and hot. Maximum temperature was around 33 C with hardly any wind.
    • Technical data of the trip was as follows: Total Distance: 45.55 Km; Moving Average: 19.8 Km/Hr; Overall Average: 14.7 Km/Hr; Maximum Speed: 27.5 Km/Hr; Moving time: 2 Hr 18 Min; Stopped Time: 47 Min; Total Time: 3 Hr 5 Min.
  • Number of participants: 4 (Sean, Pat, Chris & Richard)
